The Global Leadership League warmly invites you to attend a meaningful and relevant session about women leading the way in politics and how you can get involved in your own city/state.   Have you ever wondered if a political appointment is right for you?  Do you know how to support women who want to run for office? Come learn about these and other topics from an organization designed to support women in leadership.

At this session, you will hear from Malka Zeefe, the co-Vice Chair of the She Should Run Frontrunners and an Alexandria city commissioner. Founded in 2011, She Should Run is a non-partisan 501(c)3 that provides an approachable starting place and network for women leaders considering a future run for office and for those who support them. Our mission is to expand the talent pool of women running for office in the United States by providing community, resources, and growth opportunities for aspiring political leaders.  Read more about She Should Run.

Our moderator for this session is Sandy Schoeps Tennies of Great Circle Global Education Consulting and we will be welcomed by Dr. Erika Wilkens, Director of Global Engagement for Syracuse University.

This session is located just 4 minutes from the site of the AIEA conference hotel at Marriott Wardman Park.

Our members come from different backgrounds, abilities, levels of experience, and parts of the world. Our goal is to embrace this diversity and encourage relationships across generations and experience levels for the benefit of all involved.

The Global Leadership League was started by a group of women in the field of international education for the purposes of advancing women’s leadership skills, knowledge, and connections.
