The League ChatBox is a new program offered online for small groups to engage and discuss important issues.  Get answers, share ideas, learn together.

Darling, you got to let me know

Should I stay or should I go?

If you say that you are mine

I'll be here 'til the end of time

So you got to let me know

Should I stay or should I go?

    The Clash, 1982

It’s hard to ignore the disruption of international education employment. The challenges continue to rumble through the field, with redundancies, layoffs and furloughs, and no crystal ball to tell the future.

No matter your current employment status, we hear many of you are thinking about your future career – should you stay the course in global education or explore pivoting to new opportunities? This is a complex question, with many considerations and realities to balance.

Join us to explore your own drivers, meet new colleagues, and identify small, intentional and inspired action steps to tackle a tough subject. We welcome professionals who also wish to remain anonymous during this Chat Box, and can provide additional guidance upon request to globalleaguesarah@gmail.com.

COVID-19 has uprooted our world. We want to promote resilience (and be resilient ourselves), but we are stretched thin. We need a simple, practical way to deliver a powerful bump in resilience for our students, our staff and ourselves.

Join renowned author and resilience guru Dr. SuEllen Hamkins, MD and learn to:
    - Harness the untapped power of personal values and meaning-making in facing challenges.
    - Ask four simple questions that enhance resilience in a time of crisis.
    - Avoid six communication missteps that undermine wellbeing.
    - Create culturally-connected narratives of resilience now and in the future with five key practices.
    - Discover your own roadmap to survive and thrive through this unprecedented time.

SuEllen is a psychiatrist and author of The Art of Narrative Psychiatry. She presents internationally to higher education and mental health professionals on cultivating resilience in the face of challenges and directs psychiatric services for students at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst. SuEllen is passionate about helping people harness their values, skills and connections to overcome adversity and travel in the direction of their dreams.

Your host: Kris Holloway, President of CIS Abroad and Founding Board Member of the Global Leadership League.

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the webinar.
