In celebration of International Education Week, Texas Global at The University of Texas at Austin will be hosting a networking reception for fellow international education professionals with guest speaker, Dr. Liza Cariago-Lo.

Dr. Cariaga-Lo will speak on her professional journey as a faculty member and administrator around diversity and inclusion, her entrepreneurial venture of founding the LCLO Group and how this intersects with global engagement in higher education.

This will be followed by a networking reception. Light refreshments and snacks to be served.

Dr. Liza Cariaga-Lo

CEO and Founder of the LCLO Group, a global social entrepreneurial venture to facilitate talent cultivation, workforce development and educational capacity building. Her experience stems from time at Brown University, Harvard University and Yale University where she served in many capacities. Her areas of research and teaching include problem-based learning and resiliency; diversity and inclusion metrics and program evaluation; developmental aspects of cultivating talent among historically underserved groups; ethnic minority health and education disparities; and public and institutional policies and practices to address inequality. She is currently completing work on a book about the identity development of Asian Americans.


Our members come from different backgrounds, abilities, levels of experience, and parts of the world. Our goal is to embrace this diversity and encourage relationships across generations and experience levels for the benefit of all involved. 

The Global Leadership League was started by a group of women in the field of international education for the purposes of advancing women’s leadership skills, knowledge, and connections.
