Registration is closed

THIS EVENT IS OPEN  TO ALL EDUCATORS - You do not need to be a member of NAFSA or The Global Leadership League to attend.  If you cannot attend the live session due to timezones or schedule conflicts, all registrants will be sent a link to the recorded session after the event.  Register by March 7th.

Join us on International Women's Day for an inspiring, virtual conversation with Dr. Irene Butter, Holocaust survivor and author.

Irene spent a part of her childhood in Nazi-controlled concentration camps where she survived horrible conditions and tragedies. She tells her story on behalf of the six million other Jews who have been permanently silenced. Irene's account celebrates the exercising of empathy for others in even the most inhumane conditions, a relevant message in an age where similar hatreds and discrimination rise once again.

We encourage you to invite your colleagues and especially those who are in women's and gender studies on your campuses or within your diversity offices.   Please feel free to send out the attached registration flyer with the registration address to your colleagues.  International Women's Day - PDF FINAL.pdf

Irene's book "From Holocaust to Hope: Shores Beyond Shores" is available in fine bookstores everywhere.  We plan to host a book discussion at the NAFSA conference in Denver in May/June 2022.

Our online session and her book will inspire you for 2022 and beyond!

This event is co-sponsored by the NAFSA: Association of International Educators Women & Leadership in International Education MIG and The Global Leadership League.
