Learn how to create a more connected future for yourself and those you supervise or advise through Fulbright options for students, faculty, professional administrators in international education, and U.S Higher Education Institutions. The Fulbright Program is an international academic exchange program founded in 1946 with an ambitious goal – to increase mutual understanding and support friendly and peaceful relations between the people of the United States and the people of other countries. Today, the U.S. government oversees an extensive suite of fellowships and scholarships in partnership with more than 160 countries worldwide.

Hosts: 


Lora Seery (she/her/hers) is the Assistant Director of the Fulbright U.S. Student Program and Outreach & Recruitment Manager at the Institute of International Education (IIE). In her role, Lora liases with key stakeholders at colleges and universities across the country on behalf of the State Department’s flagship international exchange program. Before joining the team at IIE, Lora served as the Associate Dean of Student Affairs & Director of the Sophomore Year Experience at Bard College. She did her undergraduate and master’s degrees at Sarah Lawrence College.



Jennifer Murray (she/her) is the Dean of International Studies and Director of the Institute for International Liberal Education at Bard College. She is a Forum on Education Abroad  certified professional and recipient of a Fulbright International Education Administrator’s award to Korea. Jennifer earned her BA in English at Rutgers University and MS Ed in Higher Education Administration at Baruch College, CUNY. Jennifer began her career in international education as an English teacher at the University of Pecs, Hungary. Since that time she has worked with adult and military veteran students at SUNY Ulster, international student advising at the School of Visual Arts, and with student disability services at Hunter College.

The Global Leadership League was started by a group of women in the field of international education for the purposes of advancing women’s leadership skills, knowledge, and connections.
