Recruiters are in an AI, results-focused, revolving door system and do not have time to waste.  Resumes are to get the attention of Applicant Tracking Systems first, then into the small pile. A good cover letter may get read to get you an interview.

Bio: Currently at Georgia Tech, Kelley serves as career coach to working professional part time MBA students and employer relations liaison with a group of companies interested in MBA talent. She is a higher education ‘lifer’ and received her M.S. in College Student Personnel from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Prior to joining Scheller College of Business her experiences included 14 years of recruiting for university admissions and study abroad programs. She came to Scheller in 2011, looking for a home campus after years of travel representing a study abroad provider with university relationships across the US. Now with the Jones MBA Career Center team, she has enjoyed the transition from working with undergraduate students and university relations to serving experienced MBA students and employers that recruit them.
