Webinar #3  Harness the power of using the right data.

The Challenge: It’s hard to know how to find, analyze and use data to see if you are being successful in achieving your goals or in making your case for more resources. We may have heard the term “data-informed decision-making” but not know how it applies to our work. With so much data at our fingertips, it’s hard to know what data to pay attention to that help us work smarter and not harder.

The Impact of not addressing it: Digital technology has given us unprecedented access to data. If we don’t know what information to look at, we risk making decisions based on the wrong information OR WORSE, we don’t make decisions due to analysis paralysis.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Learn key data terminologies such as conversion rates, KPI’s, etc, as they relate to our field.
  • Understand what it means to analyze and mine data.
  • Identify tools and strategies related to data that can help you address your barriers to success.

Host: Scott Tayloe, COO, CIS Abroad

Guest Star: Marci Heidt, Assistant Director of Advising and Programming, Global Carolina Education Abroad Office, University of South Carolina

MORE INFORMATION: The Global Leadership League and our Advocate partner CIS Abroad have teamed up to offer a virtual webinar series and certificate this summer to help you enter the new academic year empowered and ready to rock-n-roll.

As international educators, our roles encompass a range of skills that contribute to the overall success of our team and achievement of our goals. Many of us are thrust into managing people or budgets without any formal training or education. What to do?

We must understand our own strengths and challenges, know how to use our connections, learn how to analyze the right data to inform decisions, and ultimately apply our skills to advocate for change for ourselves or our organizations.

In this webinar series you will learn how to:

  • Vanquish Imposter Thoughts by learning the 5 strategies to address them.
  • Leverage Your Networks through understanding the barriers you face and why.
  • Harness the Power of Data so you have the info you need to make decisions.
  • Advocate for What you Need by building a business case that appeals to logic AND emotion

This series consists of 4 webinars PLUS the opportunity to complete a certificate program where you will engage with a personal learning workbook and meet in a few chat rooms to discuss. This is an amazing way to showcase your knowledge and also network and learn from others.  You do not have to be signed up for the certificate to attend any of the webinars.  The webinars are only available (and free) to League members and the certificate will cost $99 USD for League members.

Please note you must register for EACH webinar and the Certificate program so that we can ensure you receive all the appropriate log in details. Start your registration for each event at our events page
