Maximize Your Leadership Impact
We are back for another summer of special training and professional development to grow your skill sets for all emerging and established global leaders. The 2025 series consists of four webinars delivered online and recorded for members to view at their convenience, PLUS a unique certificate program where you can earn a credential from The League. Learn more about the certificate HERE.
Webinar #1 Keep Yourself Out of the Red Zone - Dealing with Uncertainty & Conflict
Being in the "red zone" emotionally usually refers to a state of heightened emotional intensity – like feeling extremely angry, frustrated, anxious, or overwhelmed.
The Challenge:
In the red zone, the part of your brain responsible for reasoning (the prefrontal cortex) often takes a backseat. You’re more likely to react impulsively. When you’re in the red zone, it’s hard to think clearly or find solutions. You might fixate on what's wrong rather than how to fix it.
The Impact (of Not Addressing It):
Strong emotions can cloud your ability to express yourself clearly or listen to others, leading to misunderstandings, arguments, or damaged relationships.
Being emotionally dysregulated can trigger physical symptoms - rapid heartbeat, tense muscles, sweating, headaches – and over time, chronic stress can lead to real health problems.
Learning Outcomes:
· Recognize Emotional States and Triggers
· Apply Practical Tools to Regulate Emotions in the Workplace
· Build Confidence in Managing Conflict and Stress
